5 ideas of what to wear the gladiator sandals with

Do you know what you can‘t survive without this summer? No, we’re not talking about the refreshing mojito cocktail. We mean the fashionable footwear which came to us from ancient Greek history. And most importantly, we’ll find out what we should wear the gladiator sandals with.

  1. Boho chic dress

We recommend wearing knee-high gladiators with boho chic dress of pastel tones. Summer is a season of festivals and street parties, so to show you off at some open-air event, put on an easy-fit dress and high gladiators. The Valentino SS 2015 collection offers a vivid example of this outfit.

  1. On top of Mom Jeans

Another vivid and memorable image with gladiators is to wear them on top of high-waisted Mom Jeans. In this case, we get inspiration from Rodarte collection where gladiators are high, laced boots with the open front part of the leg, rather than sandals with straps. This image also resembles female horse riders, doesn’t it?

  1. Tweed jacket and shorts

Yet another version of combination with gladiators was inspired by the spring/summer collection from Chloe. It will suit business ladies: the jacket’s and shorts’ fabric is quite thick, but the outfit’s short length is compensated by gladiator sandals. Overall, the image looks balanced. Gladiators visually reduce the ‘naked’ part of the legs. In the end, this look appears quite natural!

  1. Little Black Dress

At times, Paris fashion seems to us somewhat surrealistic. So, the Alexander McQueen show also left an impression that one can hardly wear this outfit in a polite society. But let’s try to rethink the fancy frills and make the right conclusions: high black gladiators should be worn with a black mini dress. It looks modern, fresh and original.

  1. Fringe dress

Having been inspired by the Wild West atmosphere and the animated film Pocahontas, Alberta Ferretti showed in her 2015 spring/summer collection an example of how to wear the fringe gladiators. Her principle is simple: if gladiators have fringe, the skirt or dress must have it too. Don’t be afraid of playing ‘wild’ images this summer, for they are trendy!
